  1. Late 1960sCame to the United States with her husband, Dr. Sheng Chang.
  2. 1982Co-founds the Arcadia Chinese Association with Dr. Sheng Chang.
  3. 1982Founds the Arcadia Chinese School, and becomes its principal for the next thirty years.
  4. 1980sPersuades the school district to approve I-20 forms, letting students remain in the United States to continue their studies.
  5. 1986President of the Southern California Council of Chinese Schools, a post she holds for two years.
  6. 1987With the Arcadia Chinese Association, organizes a two-day Chinese cultural festival at the Los Angeles County Arboretum.
  7. 1988Receives the Arcadia Unified School District's Golden Apple Award.
  8. 1988With the Arcadia Chinese Association, organizes a two-day Chinese cultural festival at the Huntington Library and Gardens.
  9. 1989Installed as President of the Chinese American Parents and Teachers Association of Southern California.
  10. 1994Founds the Arcadia chapter of Buddha's Light International Association, inaugurated by Venerable Master Hsing Yun.
  11. 2001Appointed a public member of the California Acupuncture Board by the Speaker of the State Assembly.
  12. 2016–17President of the Shih Chien University Alumni Association of Southern California; later President for North America.
  13. 2023Her lecture on 養生之道 — the way of nurturing life — reaches an audience of over 800,000.
